COPD of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is no laughing matter. It is a serious health problem. To raise awareness about COPD, Boehringer Ingelheim created 2 Sides of Living with COPD, an interactive video depicting with life without and life with COPD looks like. You just press the E key and it brings you to the dark tragic side. It's kind of a Sliding Doors effect but more dramatic. If you don't do anything, of course, you see a grand mother hanging out with her daughter and grandkids having a lovely afternoon.
Since COPD can happen at any time to people who have it, it's important to check in with your doctor. And while this is brought to you by a pharmaceutical company, it isn't a spot for a drug. It's all for awareness. Neat idea and decent use of technology but I wish the video were a little shorter just to get to the point a lot quicker.
There's even a hashtag campaign featuring 2sides of #COPD, although after ten days, it's only been used six times, and three of those were from the brand itself. Just goes to show not every campaign needs a hashtag.
