PSA NO MORE / Text Talk (2016) :30 (USA)

Just like last year, the NFL has donated time to NO MORE, for a public service announcement. Last year the anti-domestic violence ad heard a woman ordering pizza from 911, this year all we see is a text conversation between friends. This 30-second ad will run in the third quarter, and the silence serves to grab attention between loud commercials, game sounds and music, but I'm, not sure it's enough. The text conversation ends when the friend is left hanging, as her friend can't answer her question and the text bubbles just keeps going... and going... No More is an organization formed in 2013 to combat domestic violence and sexual assault. The NFL donated the airtime and production costs for the spot.

"This PSA captures how most young people -- and many others -- use texting to communicate and how sometimes saying a little says a lot," No More director Virginia Witt said in a statement. "Learning more can empower people to have potentially life-saving conversations and reach out for help. We hope this will be one more step toward the culture change we are seeking around domestic violence and sexual assault."

The spot calls for viewers to to "TEXT 'NO MORE' TO 94543." For a limited time people who opt into the text program will receive "action-oriented messages educating them on common signs of abuse and steps they can take to help victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault," according to the statement.
