Southwest AIrlines in-fligh magazine Spirit has just rejected the above ad fom runing in the mag. Their reasons:
Unfortunately this ad is too provocative to run in our publication. Southwest has strict advertising guidelines and this ad is not approved due to the lack of clothing the woman is wearing.
That makes sense. As long as there are no bikinis, plastic surgeon ads, or similar in the mag. Right? (Have you seen the amount of plastic surgery ads in these in-flight magazines? It's redonkolous!)
But, as PETA are keen to point out, this is the very same airline who launched with the selling point of women's sexy legs. Remember hostesses in hot pants?
Thankfully, we've come a long way since 1972, baby, and some of the other features of Southwest would be gladly welcomed back - free cocktails, leaving on time? This sounds great! Bring it back! As for hostesses in hotpants and the decapitated female form in underwear to sell a healthy lifestyle, I'll pass, thanks. Two wrongs don't make a right but two Wrights can make an airplane.
