International editorial and post production company Nomad has promoted longtime editor Jared Coller to partner. Since joining Nomad nearly 15 years ago, Coller has worked consistently with many major ad agencies and a wide range of world-renowned directors who have covered a broad spectrum of music videos, commercials, television and feature-length films.
“Coller has been invaluable in Nomad’s pursuit of delivering the best work possible,” said Glenn Martin, one of Nomad’s partners. “His collaborative approach has proven to be a great asset with agency creative teams. Jared just wants to create quality work that is remembered and he’s not afraid to challenge the norm if it’s going to make the project stand out,” Martin added.
Coller’s promotion makes him the newest partner at Nomad alongside editors Tom Muldoon, John Murray, Glenn Martin, and VP Scott Carleton. Coller says that Nomad has remained his home because the Nomad partners are mentors and “they are the most fair and likable guys on the planet. I’m constantly encouraged to take projects based on their creative potential, not their dollar value. Nomad has always been willing to invest –without hesitation- in this kind of work. Over the last few years, I’ve been lucky enough to expand my client base and contribute creatively at the level of a partner and now I’m grateful that it’s been recognized,” he added.
Coller’s recent spots for Comcast via Goodby Silverstein & Partners and American Express with Tina Fey via Ogilvy & Mather show his adept comedic timing and pacing. New work for T-Mobile for Publicis/Seattle, Google via 72andSunny, and Facebook represent the diversity of his work. In addition, he has branched out this summer by editing several episodes of the final season of the hit FX show, The League.
Coller has worked with directors such as Mark Romanek, Lance Acord, Bryan Buckley, Isaiah Seret, and David Shane. He and co-editor Tom Muldoon also shared editing credit on Acord’s 2013 holiday spot, “Misunderstood,” which won an Emmy in 2014 for best commercial.
