A truck. A supermodel. A prime minister. A shower. A traffic jam.
Sounds like another girly gimmick gone awry.

(Archived) After cracking down on drugs and pirated products, Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra is now going on about moral ethics.
Last week, he took the police force to task for not stopping a Nicea mobile stage that went around Bangkok on Wednesday, with Thai model Methinee Kingphayome taking a shower in a frosted cubicle to promote a new shower product.
'It was inappropriate,' Mr Thaksin fumed.
'The police should have stopped it. A police weakness is that they wait for policy changes before acting.'
Advertising guru Seri Wongmontha lent him support by urging customers to refrain from buying the product.
'I am angry with the creative team for ignoring Thai culture with only the aim of selling a product,' he said.
Meanwhile, the producer of the campaign and the unnamed advertising agency have been summoned by the Consumer Protection Commission and charged with violating moral principles.

Models showering `improper', says PM
Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has blamed police for not acting over the ``improper'' advertising of a soap product which featured live models taking a shower in public.
Mr Thaksin said police should not hesitate to ban advertisements deemed improper, and they did not have to wait for a decision from their superiors.
The advertisement for Nivea cream on Wednesday caused traffic jams in Bangkok as motorists stopped to gaze at supermodel and actress Methanee Kingpayom, or Luk Kate, and other models taking a shower wearing nothing but skin-colour swimsuits on the back of a truck. City hall had earlier warned the manufacturer that its advertisement could create a consumer backlash.

Permalinkhehehe.... Good point Kishor. Is this another Thai government move to threaten action if the shower proves to be damaging to the country's reputation.... Like the video "Dirrty" with Christina Aguilera which carried a poster promoting "Thailand's Sex Tourism" .... Instead of doing something about the prostitution, they boycott Christina. Genious!
