"We open on a cheesy family Christmas dinner. the old fart, aka granddad, acts as if he likes the little twerp but we all know he'd rather be dozing on his recliner chair to reruns of Matlock, We cut to him carving the overcooked roast turkey as the camera slowly moves back. You can see the son in-law obviously pinch out a fart and then sit back awkwardly. We cut to the stereotypical mom, serving food while the son in-law just sits there. Wow. He looks so awkward. The talent budget clearly got cut here. Then for no reason that anyone can work out, we end on the family, doing a silly dance, singing along to, clearly a silly song that we never reveal because, well, it's so stupid. Dumb. It's...yeah...I'll tell you what...don't have a stock standard Christmas this year. Have a cracker, from everyone at mop. Merry Christmas."
This spot takes the piss out of Christmas commercials and uses incredibly awful stock footage. Sorry, that's redundant isn't it.
