Sol Republic will be launching a new limited edition set of cat headphones, inspired by EDM DJ/Producer deadmau5's pet cat, Professor Meowingtons pHd. The headphones were designed by famed digital artist Joshua Davis. Fans of deadmau5 should be able to quickly point out Professor Meowingtons pHd - our chief creative cat responsible for helping design the special limited edition headphones, in the spot.
What better way to share your favorite tunes with a friend you hold dearly to your heart!
For the spot, Gavin McInnes, Rooster's Creative Director, stars as our infomercial salesman, selling... headphones for our little furry feline friends. Unfortunately, cats and Gavin don't mix well.
The headphones, which are fully functional - will also be a limited edition set. 10 have been made, and will be sold at $999 a pair. There is a plus side to this, as all proceeds will be donated to the ASPCA - $10k total! The spot and details on the headphones will be featured on a dedicated site (http://www.solrepublic.com/meow).
