----------------------------------------------
Looking out a dirty old window
Down below the cars in the
City go rushing by
I sit here alone
And I wonder why
Friday night and everyone's moving
I can fell the heat
But it's shooting
Heading down
I search for the beat in this dirty town
Down town the young ones are going
Down town the young ones are growing
Chorus :
We're the kids in America (x 2)
Everybody live for the music-go-round
Bright lights the music gets faster
Look boy, don't check on your watch
Not another glance
I'm not leaving now, honey not a chance
Hot-shot, give me no problems
Much later baby you'll be saying never mind
You know life is cruel, life is never kind
Kind hearts don't make a new story
Kind hearts don't grab any glory
Ch.
Come closer, honey that's better
Got to get a brand new experience
Feeling right
Oh don't try to stop baby
Hold me tight
Outside a new day is dawning
Outside Sububia's sprawling everywhere
I don't want to go baby
New York to East California
There's a new wave coming I warn you
Ch.
We're the kids
We're the kids
We're the kids in America
Rules pay attention - You need to be logged in when you comment. Just post your jingle suggestion and we can look up the winners via their adgrunt user names.
Anonymous posters win nothing.
Be irreverant and funny! This aint a real brief, make us laugh - the real Luerzer's Archive guys will be judging the bellylaughs.
I'll email the winners, and ask where the prizes shall be snailmailed to, so make sure your current contact email is up to date. (the hidden email only you and the database knows, where you get your password sent too..)
This is the world wide web, so no matter where you might be you are still eligible to win if you write funny enough. ;)
Radio spots and commercials are usually 30 seconds.. One verse and a chorus will do, no need to rewrite the entire song. Just make the verse-ryhmes choice.
Last date of entry: Winners will be announced the 15th of August, that's next Friday! Get cracking!
Ok, so I'll be the first one - it takes on the second verse and chorus...
The sexiest ads, each from a master
Look grunts, with your eyes and crotch
Take another glance
It's chock full of "wow," puts you in a trance
Hot shots with emotional problems
Big checks and drugs each one out of their mind
You know they're all cool, they're above the grind
Find ads with nipples and 'xplosions
Find ads with social erosions

Looking out our office window
In our bin are dead ideas
Briefs go rushing by
I sit here alone
And I wonder why
Award night and everyone's mourning
no statues for us
But it's coming
Lurzer's down
Have all the winners in this dirty biz
Down town the young ones are coming
Down town the young ones are clawing
Chorus :
DeeVeeDee's in America - whoho
DeeVeeDee's in America - whoho
Everybody live for the advert-go-round!

PermalinkStaring at blank piece of paper
No inspiration or
Bright ideas come to me
A desparate cry
And I count to three
Then I see Luerzer's behind the papers
I can sense the spark
Feel it's embers
Heating up
I scan the brilliant ads - I get set up
To the pad ideas start flowing
To the pad ideas start growing
Chorus: Inspiration in America
Inspiration in America
Everybody get's it from Luerzer's Archive
Bright ideas start to flow faster
Hey you, do not bother me
Meetings have to wait
This idea is great, tons of awards await
Cannes and Clios come to me
I'll be inspiration in Archive, bear in mind
You know ideas can be hard to find
Creatives know the story
We all want a bit of glory
Chorus: Inspiration in America
Inspiration in America
Everybody get's it from Luerzer's Archive
(na-na-na-na-nah na-na-na-na-nah)
No more cheesy and awful ads on the air
Time to create something amazing
Ground breaking
Let's start a new revolution
Be engaging
Today we fight for the great work
Today we tell the clients where to go
I don't want crap on my tv,
In magazines or on big billboards
You and me let's start advertising's golden age.
Inspiration!
