You may think of Dee Snider and Twisted Sister as being nothing more than an 80's hair metal band, but when you hear the reworking of this song it will change your mind. This video, a reworking of Twisted Sister's iconic hit "We're not gonna take it," was done in conjunction with Mindfreak Criss Angel's charity to help kids with cancer. Both of these performers are from Long Island so they share a special bond. But more importantly they have both donated their energy to a bigger cause. HELP stands for Heal Every Life Possible, and that's what this project is for.
On Monday September 12th at the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas there will be a special event to benefit pediatric cancer research and treatment. Can't make it? Well go to their website and donate. Is it cheesy? Kinda. They're in the dessert outside of Las Vegas, after all. But will it help save the lives of children afflicted with a horrible disease? Let's hope so.
Put it this way, they're probably doing more than your sorry ass is. So shut up and give a couple of bucks to the cause. And if you can be in Vegas in time for the benefit everyone from Cirque du Soleil to Wayne Newton will be a part of it, so it's worth putting down the poker chips to check it out.
The mission of the Johnny Crisstopher Children's Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is to raise awareness of pediatric cancer and provide funds for research, treatment, and - ultimately - a cure. Unlike many other non-profit charities, 100% of your donation will go directly to this fight; NOT one cent will be deducted for ANY expenses, salaries, or overhead. Criss Angel has funded the operations of the foundation out of his own pocket since its inception in 2008. It has now become his life's mission (after working with childhood causes since 2001) when recently his own child, Johnny Crisstopher was diagnosed with leukemia in 2015 at 20 months old.
