Al and Mo, beaver and buffalo respectively, once wall-mounted, then brought back to life by MOO Studios director, Shaun Sewter. These two like-able pitch animals work off one another…Al extols the advantages of Alamo’s new kiosk check-in service, while Mo fights his "herd urge" to not wait in line.
Background From Shaun Sewter:
The agency didn't want to create CG animals, and bandied ideas of using puppets. They wanted "mildly" real, yet comical so we had to be clever with our execution. Our initial test was with a taxidermy beaver…the agency loved that look, so we went with that. We used a full sized buffalo head, did stop-motion with that, and then motion control against blue screen. We shot everything at MOO, executing so many different techniques including: digital still photography, stop motion photography, live action, and CG. The entire process took six weeks.
