Budweiser's super bowl ad 2020 is quite patriotic, which isn't unusual for an Anheuser Busch beer ad. In a self-deprecating tone, the VO states all these "typical American" things, while the images are showing us, well, typical Americans. Like brave firefighters battling flames. Helpful people pushing cars out of snowbanks in found footage. Hannah from team Reeve who crutched the New York City Marathon to raise money for the Christopher Reeve Foundation. A young black man in a "free hugs" T-shirt, in front of a row full of riot cops. The U.S. Women's Soccer team cheering their wins in American beers. All of it, is so typical American. From factory to farmworkers, from football legends to firefighters, there is a certain spirit beyond the labels that is so very, very, American.

Here is how people in the ad reacted to the ad. That's all they used as a teaser.

PermalinkI think this was the best ad of the superbowl. Not the funniest, but the best. Funniest was the Boston accent smaht Pahk. This was patriotic and hit me right in the feels.
