The campaign has been released online at http://www.bravia-advert.com, complete with photographs, behind the scenes of the filming, and the ads in 60 seconds and 3 minute format. The Bravia is a new LCD screen television.
The Leagas Delaney 'Big' campaign was for Barclays Bank, and featured three ads: "Player" with Hopkins, "Big Bang" with Nick Moran and "Achievements" with Tim Roth, all directed by Tony Scott. They were shown in 2000 but backfired when they coincided with Barclay's downsizing, closing branches and making staff redundant.
Our family cracked up when we saw the ads. It's fictional non-fiction designed to appeal to people with an interest in the documentary form. The main web site for the festival is www.docnzfestival.com. What puzzles me is why the ads were limited to the Arts and National Geogrpahic channels in NZ.

I went to University with Phil, the regurgitator guy by the water cooler. This is an excellent though revolting challenge to engage critically with the media's take on the news.
