Ad council "Save the food: Strawberry" 2:00 (2016) (USA)

This tells the story of the extraordinary life and times of a strawberry. How much time and costs and energy it takes to get them from field to grocery store to your refrigerator where all they do is sit there and rot, your miserable human!
This campaign is really well shot and I love the concept. Americans do waste a crazy amount of food every year. So it's nice to remind people they're not only wasting food but also fossil fuels that transported the food to the grocery store, and plastic/containers to house the berries and man power needed to get the fruit from field to table. I do question whether shaming someone into awareness does any good, though. Also, it may have inadvertently been a bad choice of fruit to star in the film as Strawberries made this years annual dirty dozen lis of foods containing the most pesticides. And yes, that also includes organic. See, pesticides are sprayed and they get into the soil, etc. They don't stay fixed. So even those organic strawberries grown without them still contain residues.
